Indivisible Lowell is a grassroots coalition committed to defending democracy, the rule of law, and a more equitable future by standing up against the Trump agenda.
Vision Statement
We envision a just, inclusive, and participatory democracy where all people— regardless of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, ability, or national origin —have the power and resources to live with dignity, access opportunity, and shape the future of their communities. Indivisible Lowell strives to be a local force for national change, illustrating that people-powered movements can create lasting change grounded in dignity and possibility. Together, we strive to create a society founded on truth, compassion, equity, and sustainability.
About Us
Lowell is a city of immigrants built on a legacy of diversity, labor, and collective courage. From the early “mill girls” who organized some of the nation’s first women’s labor unions to the current generations of immigrant workers who continue to revitalize and shape our city, Lowell’s history shows that organized, determined, and diverse communities can work together for the benefit of all and not merely the few. We inherit that tradition of solidarity and continue to show that empowered, united people create lasting change rooted in equality, opportunity, and shared prosperity.
We organize, inform, and mobilize the people of Lowell to peacefully resist authoritarianism, protect civil liberties, and challenge policies that undermine democratic principles. We are committed to upholding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, ensuring that the government remains accountable to all its citizens and legal residents. We believe democracy thrives when diverse voices are heard, truth is defended, and communities come together to make “good trouble.”
What we Advocate for
• Everyone has Access to Strong Social Support, including Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and other essential safety nets that promote health, dignity, and stability.
• Human Rights and Legal Protections are upheld, ensuring safety, fairness, and freedom for all people.
• Civil and Reproductive Rights are protected and expanded, empowering individuals to make decisions about their lives and bodies.
• Transparent, Accountable Governance prevails, free from corruption, disinformation, and misuse of power.
• Sustainable Fiscal and Budget Policies are designed to benefit all and not the few.
• Science, Education, and a Free Press are respected and trusted, forming the foundation of informed decision-making and a healthy democracy.

How to Advocate with Us
We are here to build collective purpose and create change. We do that by supporting progressive policies through civic and electoral action at the national, state, and local levels.
Besides taking to the street and peacefully protesting, we have to hold elected officials accountable. We can do that by calling and emailing our local legislators when bills come up for a vote in either the House and Senate. We also have to change and rebuild the face of our government. We do that by helping progressive candidates run and win local, state, and national races. These actions can include postcarding, phone banking, door knocking, stand outs, rallies, and bridge brigades.
